This was the last program the day care had...the director quit and the new one was not into cute programs...too bad, they were so sweet!

Day 67 Fall snow

We had a great time building The kids' first snowman in the early December snow...apparently it wasn't too heavy since you can see the ground.  This is yesterday's post...blew this off!

This is a group of unrelated pics that didn't warrent their own page, but made kind of a nice grouping.  As always the professional shot along the bottom have a yellow tinge I just can't get out without screwing up all the other colors in the picture!

Day 6 5 - Gee's first day of school

Jennifer wanted to learn to read so bad.   I kept telling her that she would learn when she went to school.   The big day finally came and when I asked her how she liked school, she said (with disgust), "they didn't even teach me to read"!

Day 64 I'm a Boy!

I love this picture of Tim.   He was so into cars and trucks and still is today!

Day 61 dance recital

This is Jennifer's second recital, but the first with Kitty Lee.   In the last pic on the second page, she is standing beside Angie.   Not sure who any of the others are!  

The girls did a little tap number, then a really small ballet number as part of the finale.

Day 60 Preschool graduation

This little ceremony the day care put on for the preschool "graduates" was too adorable.   The kids laughed their butts off as each kid was called up for their diploma, since the day care director used their formal names and most of the kids had no idea what they were.   The biggest laugh was Sammy being called Samantha.  One of the little girls is Angie Leavitt, who danced with Jennifer for years.   They are still friends today.

Unfortunately the director left at the end of the year, so Tim got cheated out of his graduation.

Day 59 Snow play

 This is the first page of 1979.   Must have been really cold!   This is a odd year...as I looked thru the pics, nothing of either kids' birthdays or Halloween!   Not sure what happened there!   Lots of Christmas pics tho, for my favorite pages.

Day 58 Christmas morning

When  G&G arrived, we headed downstairs, in order by height, to see what Santa brought us!   If you wanted to find the kids, you just had to find Grandpa!

Day 57 Daycare Christmas Program

This should have come before the stocking page...got a little out of order!   The daycare always had the cutest programs.   Jennifer played Mary in this one and Tim was a little drummer boy.

day 56 Christmas Stockings

Christmas stockings are almost as big a deal as the entire Christmas in our family.   We have so much fun with the little things and treats!   This started as a way to keep the kids occupied while we waited for Grandma and Grandpa to show up.

Day 55 Visit with Santa

Tim finally decided that being friendly with Santa was a good deal!   The first page was at the westroads where we always went.  The second page was at the kids' daycare.

I took the kids for formal pics every year, but I didn't always get multiple poses like this year...nice to have.

Day 46 and 47 Christmas

We are out of town starting tomorrow, so I'm getting one day ahead and I'll catch up with the rest when we get back.   These pages are Christmas Eve with the Alberrys and Christmas morning with the Roaches.   This also marks the end of 1977.   Apparently we didn't even try to see Santa this year.   By 78, Tim had figured out that it was advantages to talk to Santa...

Day 44 Tim's second Birthday

I try not to re-use pages that I've made, but this was irresistable.   The first set is Tim's second birthday and the second set is a trip that Tim and I took to a Cart Race in Chicago for his 26th birthday.  Other than the pics, the only thing I change is the "year sticker" on the license plates.

Day 43 Tim's 2 year old pics

Tim is finally getting better with photographers...these pics are adorable!   He told me last night that it was because he always wanted to be on the other side of the lens!  I loved this little denim jumpsuit that Tim had.

Jennifer is so cute in these pics and definitely looking like a little girl and not a baby!   We discovered JC Penneys photography...they had a female photography and she was awesome!
