Day 155 - Vacation to Edmonton

This is the first of a series of pictures depicting our trip to Edmonton to see VJ.   It's too bad the kids were too little to remember as it was really a fun packed trip.

Day 154 Pioneer Village

With Dan helping out at the shop, G&G were able to get away for an occasional weekend trip with us.  This weekend, we went to Pioneer Village in Minden and the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island.

Day 152 & 153 Learning to Water Ski!

The kids had a blast with this...Mike was a huge help, pulling them on land and on the beach and then hanging onto the back of the skis till they got up.   Then he had to tread water till they came down.   They loved it, I hated it...never been so scared in my life!  The first time Tim went down he got drug under till Grandpa got the boat stopped...scared me to death!

Day 151 Recital - Acrolites

In the fall of 81, Jennifer began Acrolites...an invitation only acrobat class.   She did really well in this class and really enjoyed it.

Day 150 Jennifer's Recital

This is her tap and ballet pics.   She wore the same costume with a different skirt for the two numbers.  The picture of her posing in her tap outfit, looks exactly the same as she does today.   Even has the same hair style and color!

Day 149 Tim's seventh Birthday.

For the second time, Tim celebrates his birthday with the Dukes of Hazzard.   Even his T-Shirt is Dukes of Hazzard.

Day 148 Zoo otta be in Pictures

Grandpa won the "Zoo Otta be in Pictures" contest sponsored by the zoo, with a picture that he took this Easter of one of the swans.  His prize was the picture was featured in one of the months in the 1983 zoo calendar.   Very cool!

I had a singing telegram done for them for the party and it was hysterical...I wish I could have gotten the words...I just remember that it was really good.   Jennifer was totally in awe of the whole thing.

Day 145 G&Gs surprise 60th Birthday

Day 143 & 144 Judy and Mike's Birthdays and Gee & Tim's Soccer

Judy and I think that this is the first time their birthday's were celebrated together.

This was the kids' third year of Soccer and the first year they really enjoyed it!

Day 141 & 142 - Grandpa's Garden & Grandpa's Playground

Grandpa was such a big kid when my kids were around.  

He worked his butt off getting the backyard ready for the wedding.

Day 139 & 140 G&Gs Naturalization and DeSoto Bend

I actually thought this might be the last of '81, but I opened up Grandpa's next book last night and there are a bunch more '81s!   He must have gotten a new camera that year!

Decorating G&Gs tree and then out to dinner with Great Grandma...this is the year that Jim was at a hockey tournament.

Day 132 - Beaver Lake

We spent a ton of time at Beaver Lake when the kids were little.   The were like little fishies!
