This one ended up really taxing my creative efforts. I made three complete layouts before setting on this one. If I had know what a pain that green jumper was going to be, I'd have bought her another dress! Here's the third and final one as well as the second one. I absolutely love the look on her face, on the horse. She did come to love it, but she was pretty skittish that day!

Day 9 Christmas Morning Layout
With this post, I'm done with 1974! Woo Hoo!!!!
Hopefully I can get some housework done...that has really been put on the back burner with all the scrapbooking! Of course, I would always choose to scrap over housework.
From here on out my pictures get much sparser due to my second baby coming along...apparently I didn't have much time for photos.

Day 8
Back to the correct sequence! Christmas time! The dress was a gift from Judy when Jennifer was born.

Day 7
Before I got into the Christmas pages, I went back and checked the professional photos that I had taken of Jennifer. So, today's page is out of order...should actually be before the Canada Cousins page. Guess I need to check those more often!
I wish I had a better picture of her first four teeth...looked so cute! if you look really closely at the middle two pics you can see the tips of the two top teeth. Apparently Judy's came in exactly the same way. I've always said they are soooo alike!

Day 6 - finally a new page!
I used to snow every year, in Nebraska, around thanksgiving. Jennifer's first Thanksgiving was a gem. A huge blizzard came thru and almost kept us home for the holiday. Instead, we just left a day later.
day 6 - early pages
Decided to post the earlier pages of Jennifer so that her whole album is out here. None of these were done today, so I still have one to do!

Day 5
A couple of Blurry pics in this layout, but JL is so cute I couldn't resist using even the blurry ones. She was such a happy baby...impossible to capture in a 2 dimensional layout.

Day 4
Busy day today with water aerobic and bridge, but got this halloween page done this morning. Jennifer is so sweet, wondering what in the world is going on!

Day 3
Today I completed a page showing Jennifer's first trip to Canada. We visited my sister and my cousin. The two babies were adorable together!

Day 2
Took me a while to get going on this one, but I made a wonderful discovery. If I copy the photo layer and apply a multiply blend mode, most of the faded look goes away! Woo Hoo! This has been my biggest issue working with these 35 year old photos.

Day 1
Having just seen the movie "Julie and Julia", I've decided to create my first blog in hopes that it will motivate me much like the blog in the movie motivated Julie.
I'm 58 years old and I'm just now starting to scrapbook my two kids albums. I want to leave them their legacy and memories in scrapbook albums. While I'm doing their albums, I'm trying to keep up with my 13 year old Grand-daughter, Caity.
So far I'm half way thru 1974...up to Jennifer's 6 month pictures.
